Bill & Nan
Bensyl's introduction
to the Arabian
Horse breed
came along
after a trip
to Scottsdale
Arizona where
they began
their search
of knowledge
of the Arabian
Horse breed
in 2006. The
Bensyl's visit
to Brookville
Arabians proved
to be the
beginning
of a life
long venture
with this
incredible
breed as they
purchased
their first
Arabians.
Since that
beautiful
day the Bensyl's
have acquired
a very impressive
group of Arabians
to develop
the foundation
breeding program
of "Blue
Star Farms" located
in Murieta,
Ca.
Within
one years
time the Bensyl's
have not only
begun their
breeding program
by purchasing
mares of the
highest quality
and breeding
them to some
of the worlds
greatest sires,
they have
also enjoyed
show ring
success at
the 2007 Scottsdale
All Arabian
Horse Show
where Bill
Bensyl showed "Prince
Charming BVA" to
Scottsdale
Reserve Champion
2 Year Old
Signature
Select Gelding. Prince
Charming also
just happened
to be one of
the 2 Arabians
the Bensyl's
purchased
in 2006. Another
one of the
stars of Blue
Star Farms,
at the 2007
Scottsdale
Show, was the
beautiful
Star Of Fame
who also brought
home a Top
Ten in the
Yearling Filly
Class and
later went
on to be Region
7 Top Five.
Later in the
year, Bill
again took
the lead of
the beautiful
mare Lumiars
Love Song
that he had
purchased
for his lovely
wife Nan for
her birthday,
and competed
at the prestigious
World Cup
in Las Vegas
and went on
to win the
A.O.T.H. Mare
Championship!
After 30
years as
an executive
with Pepsi
Cola and not
having a horse
since a horse
named "Champ" was
given to his
father in
1950, Bill
is living
his dream.
Nan's administrative
career that
included working
for Ross Perot
@ EDS and
for his presidential
campaign as
well as raising
3 children
with 6 grandchildren
had certainly
kept her busy.
She now has
her wonderful
Arabians that
together with
husband Bill
will be able
to enjoy for
many more
years to come.
The Bensyl's
primary home
is in Laguna
Beach, California
where they
have a stress
free life
style with
their beautiful
home on the
beach. Blue
Star Farms
is located
in Murrietta,
CA and is
a state of
the art ranch
to compliment
the mares
that will
be gracing
it's lush
green fields
with foals
energetically
creating the
Bensyl's more
joy for the
rest of their
lives.
Bill's
dad was one
of six brothers
who all served
at the same
time during
World War
2, all six
went and all
six returned
home safely.
Grandma Bensyl
had six blue
stars in her
window to
signify the
sacrifice
being made.
Mothers volunteered
throughout
the tough
times of World
War 2. They
worked in
hospitals,
train stations,
packed care
packages for
soldiers and
were a working
part of homeland
security during
times of our
time at war.
The 'Blue
Star Mothers" was
an organization
that not only
provided support
for active
duty service
personnel,
it promoted
patriotism,
assisted Veterans
organizations,
and were available
to assist
in homeland
volunteer
efforts to
help our country
remain strong.
With Bill & Nan
Bensyl's Blue
Star Farm
breeding program
of the Arabian
Horse Breed,
one can only
feel the same
protection.
Brookville
Arabians salutes
Blue Star
Farms and
looks forward
to presenting
it's many
wonderful
Arabians for
years to come!
